Brooklynsigns is a wonderful tumblr that captures signs and type in Brooklyn. When I first moved to Brooklyn, I was overwhelmed by the variation in typography. Walk down any street and you’ll see any combination of color, type, leading and kerning. From handmade to schlocky to elegant. If I ever get around to getting a new iPhone, I’ll start doing the same thing with San Francisco.
